Jack Chapman, MD
Jack M. Chapman Jr., M.D. a board certified, highly respected, ophthalmologist has practiced in Gainesville and Northeast Georgia since 1992. His primary areas of focus are cataract refractive surgery, laser cataract surgery and treatment for eye conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, astigmatism, dry eye, glaucoma, macular degeneration and cataracts. His refractive cataract practice includes all varieties of intraocular lens technology including premium multifocal and toric lenses coupled with femtosecond laser cataract surgery. A graduate of the University of Georgia, Southern College of optometry and the Medical College of Georgia, Dr. Chapman trained in ophthalmology at the Medical College of Georgia Hospitals and Clinics. Dr. Chapman is the first surgeon to perform femtosecond laser cataract surgery in Georgia. Dr. Chapman has presented at numerous eye meetings both nationally and internationally. Dr. Chapman also participates in clinical eye research. Dr. Chapman serves on the Physician Advisory Board for EyeSouth Partners, and eye services management organization based in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Chapman enjoys time with family, travel and his volunteer efforts during his non-working hours.
