M. Edward (“Ed”) Wilson Jr., MD, is a tenured professor of ophthalmology and pediatrics at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Storm Eye Institute in Charleston, SC, where he holds the position of N. Edgar Miles Endowed Chair. In addition to his 34 years of experience teaching ophthalmology residents and medical students, he has also trained fellows in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus each year beginning in 1991. Dr. Wilson also served as thesis advisor to students at MUSC and internationally. He is a past president of American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus (AAPOS) and of the American Ophthalmological Society.
