The SEC is family friendly, with planned activities for your spouse and kids

The Southern Eye Congress is a collaborative society of eye care providers from the Southeast that fosters communication between leading eye surgeons, technicians and industry.

For over a decade the previously named "Southeast Regional Eye Meeting" was held as the annual conference for the Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Tennessee state ophthalmology societies. With a goal of more collaboration with colleagues from across the South and throughout the United States, this meeting has been modernized and rebranded in 2018 as the Southern Eye Congress. The SEC will offer ophthalmologists, technicians, and administrators an opportunity to learn what’s new in their respective professions, while at the same time interacting with many of the country’s top ophthalmic commercial companies.

note from the chairman

Walter Parker, MD

The Southern Eye Congress represents a collaborative effort among eyecare providers in the Southeast dedicated to innovating techniques and care for eye health and vision issues — in other words, the very best our region has to offer. It has been an honor to attend this meeting, as well as serve on the planning committee, and it is now my esteemed privilege to oversee the next meeting as Chairman. Our program this year will focus on the latest ophthalmic technologies and techniques, as well as how to put them into practice to benefit your communities. We invite you to join us September 16-19, 2021. I look forward to seeing you there.
